If you are interested in donating resources (time/money/supplies/skills), here is a list of what we typically welcome:
Time: from a half hour of watering to being on the core team for a growing season, we appreciate every single volunteer contribution. Tasks include watering, weeding, mulching, compost/soil application, planting, pruning, harvesting. We also welcome help with social media, communications & event planning.money: for trees, plants, ongoing maintenance, programming & coordinating by e-transfer to [email protected] (specify Food Forest in the message and charitable receipt can be provided upon request).
supplies: well-rotted compost/manure, wood chips, mulch, grass clippings, dye & plastic-free corrugated cardboard, lumber, screws, nails, paint/stain, signage materials, quality seeds & plants.
equipment & tool uses: skid steer, trucks, trailers, pruning tools, printing for posters.
knowledge & skills: community members willing to offer classes/host knowledge shares on growing & preparing food/herbs/medicine, gardening, composting, resiliency in a changing climate, etc.
