Our 7th growing season has begun!

This year we are focused on community building and engagement.

We will be accepting donations through the season of:

*Lightly used garden tools (shovels, rakes, pitchforks, hand tools, wheelbarrows, buckets)

*Clear 4 Litre Water or Milk jugs  and 1 Litre yogurt containers for winter sowing and plant pots

*Gardening reference  and resource books for new gardeners

*Seeding supplies: 6 inch pots, 1/2 gallon pots, 1 gallon pots, trays (with or without lids) and potting soil


Earth Based Creations

Join us in the Food Forest for Earth Based Creations with Jennifer Coveyduc of Fringeweed Design for a series of creative, nature-inspired workshops at the Scotsburn Community Food Forest. These relaxed, outdoor sessions are a wonderful opportunity to learn new skills, connect with others, and create something by hand using natural materials.

Workshop Schedule:

  • July 15 – Weaving Workshop (10:00 a.m.)
  • August 19 – Cyanotype Bookmark Making (10:00 a.m.)
  • September 12 – 3D Felted Carrots (10:00 a.m.)

Workshop Details:

  • $15 per workshop or $40 for all three
  • Open to all ages (children under 7 must be accompanied by an adult)
  • All materials are provided
  • Spaces are limited, so early registration is encouraged

Whether you're trying a new craft for the first time or looking to spend a creative morning outdoors, these workshops offer a fun and welcoming experience for all skill levels.


Land Tours

Join us for one of our guided Summer Land Tours and discover how local landowners are creating resilient, regenerative, and perennial food systems throughout the Greater Scotsburn area.

Each tour includes a guided walk through the property, opportunities to ask questions and learn from experienced hosts, and a relaxed picnic-style lunch (please bring your own).

Tours run from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and cost $20 per person.

  • September 6 – Diamond Area with Margaret & George

Whether you're interested in food forests, permaculture, or simply looking for inspiration for your own property, these tours offer a chance to connect with others and learn from local examples.
