Support the project
Contribute to the local food security and food literacy movement for current & future generations while caring for the Earth! While this project is carried out by hard working and cherished volunteers, there are still annual costs associated with operations, programming and supplies. Become a Friend of the Food Forest through one of the options below. Your kind and generous support helps keep this project alive!
- Annual Membership $50
- contributes to ongoing operations while offering first access and discounts on workshops hosted by SCFF. Membership begins at the start of a year or time of purchase and runs until the end of that year.
- Pollinator Supporter $500
- The Pollinator donation level provides community programming and knowledge sharing for one workshop. ($250 honorarium to teacher, $150 supplies and $100 shared local food for participants)
- Soil Supporter $1000
- The Soil donation level provides one month of coordinator support for the project which entails day to day care, managing volunteers and programming. (10 hr/wk x 4 wk/month at $25/hr)
In addition, donations of any amount will be gratefully accepted by e-transfer to [email protected], indicating “SCFF donation” in the message. These donations go towards essential support in our areas of greatest need connected to ongoing care of the Food Forest, programming and materials. SCFF operates under Scotsburn Recreation Club, a registered non profit society and your donations of $20 or more are eligible for a tax receipt. For other ways to help click here.
Thank you to all who have contributed to our project thus far! From those of you on the ground with a shovel in hand or baking snacks for our volunteers to businesses helping spread the word and raise funds, we’re so grateful. It takes a village and every bit helps!
